For the purchase of a heat pump hybrid hot water heater, I went to 3 local companies for information and estimates. The best in every way was MileHi HVAC on S. Broadway in Denver. They installed my new Rheem Professional today. Their cost was thousands lower than the big plumbing company and a considerable savings from the middle bid. But that was only the icing on the cake. The plumbing tech, Steve, was the only 1 of the 3 who seemed to understand the technology and limitations of the type of heater I specified. His explanations were clear. He was the only 1 to point out that the plumbing pipe upgrade that big company said I needed because of new building codes was unnecessary because the pipe was a vent to the outside for my old GAS heater. Steve answered my questions without dismissing the technology I was interested in and trying to sell me something else. Scheduling was easy and fast. MileHi also handled the electrical installation of a 240 volt line, and pulled permits for the electrical and plumbing work. MileHi knew without prompting how to get me the Xcel Energy rebate ($2,250!) for my new heater.
